a little luxury can go…
both ways
You’ll find some of my favorite San Francisco date ideas and go-to indulgences below. Perhaps a little inspiration for planning something special? I’m always happy to help craft the perfect experience and have a running list of events and date ideas throughout San Francisco and other cities that I frequent.
When it comes to clothes and jewelry, I have a thoughtful and curated sense of style. The brand itself matters far less than the aesthetic and my intention behind it. Still, I’ve listed a few of my favorite current designers and big houses to offer a bit of inspiration. A thoughtful gesture never goes unnoticed and often leads to something even sweeter (if you get my drift…).
If you’re ready to dive in, explore the lists below.

Our curated affair…
Food and drink has always been the way to my heart whether it’s a few shared bites, something sweet to snack on, or a reservation at one of my favorite spots.
Let’s clink glasses and toast to something new…or perhaps something familiar. Bring a favorite bottle, surprise me with one of mine, or meet me at my favorite late-night burrito spot. et’s make some memories.
If you’d like ideas or need a little help planning, just ask! I always have a few temptations in mind.

Some of my favorite date ideas are listed below. Pick one that feels right and make it our own. Or send me your best ideas!
Ferry Building Farmers Market & Lunch:
The market is open multiple days a week, which makes it easy to stop by for flowers, coffee, fresh air, and lunch together after.
A few stops at some murals in the Mission, a couple of photo-ops, then burritos to-go from a spot that never misses.
They say those who play together, stay together so let’s hit Musée Mécanique, trade a few tokens and laughs, then wander the Wharf for a bite or a drink after.
Golden Gate Park Picnic:
Let’s wander through the park, find a quiet patch of grass, and spread out a picnic just for us. A slow walk, good food, and easy conversation.
Mystery Picnic Date (Sausalito):
It’s a “mystery” picnic in Sausalito, and teamwork makes the dream work. We’ll follow the clues, find our treats, and see how well we work together when snacks are on the line.
Every Thursday, the Exploratorium hosts After Dark, where we can let curiosity take over. We’ll sip cider or beer, laugh like kids, and flirt like grown-ups.
Slow, steady, and set to deep house music this yoga class is different. We’ll find our rhythm and carry that connection into lunch or dinner afterwards.
California Wine Country: This one is pretty self-explanatory but it’s one of my favorites because it never gets old and is open all year long. I have a decent wine knowledge and would love to share that with you (or we can nerd out together). Let’s book some tasting rooms, dinner, and a room and make a day of it.
-
Arquet: From the chef behind Sorrel (a Michelin gem), a stunning new bar and dining room near the Ferry Building. Shall we explore?
Boulevard: Dinner at a San Francisco classic, a little wine, and a walk near the water after. Who knows where we’ll end up?
Spruce: A longtime favorite. Lunch or dinner, conversation, and a wine list that’s impossible to resist. Just how I like it.
Quince: Elegant, intimate, and unforgettable (with 3-Michelin stars). A five-course tasting or a leisurely lunch, either way it’s perfection and I’m dying to go.
Californios: My favorite meal in San Francisco! It’s unforgettable and calling me back for more.
Onsen: A light dinner followed by an onsen soak. Be sure to book the private experience as there’s nothing quite like having the spa all to ourselves.
-
Bar Crenn: From the brilliant mind of Dominique Crenn (think Atelier Crenn) comes moody lighting, exquisite drinks, and small bites that never disappoint.
Dawn Club: Jazz, speakeasy charm, and cocktails to toast the night. Let’s see where it leads.
Bar Iris: Japanese artisanal cocktails and fantastic food made by the Nisei staff next door (a 1-star Michelin join). What’s not to love?
Verjus: Created by the Quince team, this is the kind of wine bar that invites slow pours, good food, and even better company.
Holbrook House: A champagne cart, perfect martinis, and elegant bar snacks. A new favorite of mine in the making.
Press Club: Moody lighting, plush seating, and an exceptional wine list. It’s the perfect spot for us to unwind.
-
Billecart-Salmon: Rare or vintage bottles are sure to please but you can’t miss with their Blanc de Blanc or Brut Rose
Dom Ruinart (any year – pretty pretty please): This is only bottled when it’s deemed exceptional so every bottling should be worth picking up.
Dom Perignon: 2008 P2, 2012 (easiest to source now!), 2008, 2004 or P2, 2002
Piper-Heidsieck Brut Vintage Rare 2008
Bollinger La Grande Annee Brut 2014
Big, bold California Cabs
Classic Zinfandels
Cold-brewed coffee: splash of oat milk and one packet stevia
Sparkling water with fresh fruit
-
Caviar with cucumber slices or plain potato chips (don’t forget the crème fraîche!)
Salt & vinegar chips
Artisanal cheese platters
Hummus and crackers (or pitas)
Veggies and dip
Fresh sliced fruit
The Art of (Un-)Dressing
I have a soft spot for lingerie, fashion (vintage especially), jewelry, purses, and beautiful shoes…the kind that make you feel something before you even step out the door. I dress for myself, and sometimes, for the one who is watching (is that you?).
Below are a few of the designers and houses whose creative directors have been captivating me lately. This list is just a glimpse and the big design houses aren’t always what I’m drawn to, it’s a whole approach.
I dress in warm earth tones and soft neutrals, sometimes with a pop of color. And when it comes to jewelry, 18k gold, pearls, and diamonds will always have my heart.
Ready to peek inside my current obsessions? The links below will take you there.
Note: I’m very selective about style, and sizing can be tricky. If you decide to surprise me, please include a gift receipt just in case!
